The Vampire Leather Hood displays as a black leather hood in the inventory, but is cream-colored when equipped.

I can't find anyone complaining about this, but I've seen videos of this hood and it's not supposed to look like that. Could it be because I'm an Argonian?

It displays correctly on the mannequins.

I don't have any mods installed.

It's probably just another bug, which Bethesda is known for.

And, as the Unofficial Skyrim Creation Content Patch doesn't mention anything about a hood in their changelog, I think it's a bug on your end, caused by a sequence of actions/scripts of your specific playthrough.

If you're playing on PC, you can try deleting the item and giving yourself a new instance using the console:

  1. player.removeitem xx089eef 1
  2. player.additem xx089eef 1

Hopefully this will reset whatever messes up the linked mesh and/or texture.

In case people wonder where this item can be found: the Vampire Leather Hood is from the Bloodchill Manor Creation, and part of the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim (but it was also sold separately in the Creation Club in-game shop of the Special Edition).
